MESSAGE TO A LOVED ONE

If you have a relative who has been admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead and you would like to send them a message, letter or photograph, please send it by email to: ghnt.messagetoalovedone@nhs.net

Please can letters, messages or photographs be a maximum of one A4 side of paper per day. The Patient Experience Team will try their best to ensure that all patients receive their messages Monday-Friday.

If you do not have access to email and would still like to send your loved one a short message, please telephone 0191 445 6047 or 0191 445 6129 between 10am and 12pm, Monday to Friday.

To make sure we get to the right person we also need you to include:

  • the patient's name
  • the ward number or name
  • either the date of birth or the address of the patient

Do not attend the surgery unless you have spoken to a GP or nurse and have a confirmed appointment.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagIf possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30 if you require a home visit on that day.

 

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The GP of the practice will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and whether a visit on the same day is needed.

 

We carry out most home visits between 10:00 and 14:30 daily.

 

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
